In the world of interior styling, Maxine is renown for her limitless creativity, artful styling, strong visual concepts, hard-working attitude, slick organisation skills and her enviable list of savvy contacts.
“I started out in publishing making tea. One day, I cornered the Style Editor of Elle magazine in the lift and begged her for a chance. Before I knew it, I was putting together the interior trend pages, loving every minute of it. I worked on a plan to make this my career for life.’
That was 18 years ago. Since then her styling work as taken her around the world with shoots in London, New York, Australia, New Zealand and Cape Town. Her previous roles include Deputy Style Editor at House Beautiful, Contributing Lifestyle Editor at Elle Magazine and Style Editor of Home Magazine.
Since 2008 her career has flourished as a Freelance Interior Stylist. She has collaborated with brands like Ikea, House of Fraser, Debenhams, The White Company, Laura Ashely, Cath Kidston, Joules, Cox and Cox, H&M – to name a few. In 2015 Maxine launched her much-loved interiors blog called WeLoveHome which covers all aspects of her interior styling, her career as well as the latest homes trends. It has nominated for IBA15 Best New Blog, IBA16 Best Interior Designer Blog and Won Best DIY videos, 2015.
