One of the things I love most about my job is getting to work with passionate, skilled makers — people who care deeply about quality and craft of the products they make. So I was thrilled when bespoke kitchen company Wood Works Brighton brought me on board as their stylist and creative director.

Styling & Art direction for wood works Brighton
Their kitchens are all handmade, rooted in traditional craftsmanship but with a distinctly modern sensibility. Each space that Wood Works Brighton makes is completely unique with no two kitchens are ever the same. My role is to bring those spaces to life, styling and shooting them for magazines, websites, and press, showing off not just the design details, but the feeling of the homes they sit within.

National press coverage
We shoot homes across Sussex and London, working closely with real families who live in these kitchens every day. It’s not just about propping a space, it’s about telling a story. I come up with shoot concepts, source props, style every detail on set, and work closely with photographer Bee Holmes to make sure we capture the light, mood and tone that reflects both the home and the brand.
As an interior stylist, art director and creative lead, I work across the whole process: from initial creative ideas that I pitch to Wood Works Brighton to final image delivery. That might involve mood boards, sourcing vintage ceramics or linens, deciding whether a loaf of bread or a stack of cookbooks feels right on a worktop. Every decision is intentional, and everything is considered through the lens of storytelling and brand.
The images I styled have appeared in House Beautiful, Ideal Home magazine, Grand Designs, 25 Beautiful Kitchens, and more, giving Woodworks Brighton the national coverage they deserve. These are kitchens worth shouting about—timeless, tactile and built to last.

Styling for a quality local independent brand
The quality of the product is central to the shoot as it always starts and ends with the kitchens themselves. Whether it’s a hand-painted pantry or a beautifully crafted island, my job is to make sure the design shines, while making the space feel warm, lived-in and aspirational. It’s a fine balance between authenticity and polish, and it’s one I love.

What I also really value about this work is the creative trust. Woodworks Brighton give me space to play and explore ideas, which makes the process collaborative and dynamic. We’re not just showing off a kitchen—we’re telling the story of how people live, cook, gather, and connect in their homes.
Each shoot is different for Wood Work Brighton is different – and each one brings its own challenges and joys. Whether it’s finding the perfect kitchen towel, waiting for the right shaft of light to hit the tiles, or deciding how to layer a breakfast scene so it feels effortless but elevated – we always make sure we get the shots so we have a happy client! And we really do have fun on these shoots.
