Want to learn how to upcycle your furniture like a pro? WeLoveHome is giving away a copy of Paint Guru Annie Sloan’s latest book, Annie Sloan’s Chalk Paint Workbook (£14.99, CICO Books), so you can learn from the expert herself.
As someone with no patience – I love a speedy makeover. Revamping a piece of furniture in Chalk paint in a matter of hours is right up my street. Using Annie Sloan’s Chalk Paint is an amazing way to cover up the sins of old furniture and create something really special! I painted the legs of my horrible old dining table in Annie Sloan French Grey and it now looks bleeding wonderful. It took just one coat and I had an fab new dining table in just one hour. Take a look here.
The book is a way to handy way to put all your ideas for future projects. I love the inspiration pictures in it. The handy tabs mean you can keep all your ideas in one place making it easy to find all your projects when you are ready to paint. It’s jam-packed with lots of tips too.
It’s a really beautiful book – something to really treasure. A place for you to store all your thoughts.

Nice to meet you Maxine. Love Annie Sloan paint. I can still remember painting my benches 2 Christmases ago. So easy to do. Only difficult bit is to get the waxing and polishing done correctly which I found initially a bit tricky, then I was reliably told that i had to buff harder after the wax. Great giveaway 🙂
I’ve still not mastered the art of buffing! I get my mum round to help me. But the paint is fab and you can be so creative with it.
I have a bedside cabinet or two that would certaily benefit 😉
Good luck!
We have got an old chest of drawers that could do with some tlc and some clean, fresh paint.
Good luck!

Our bedside tables
I have a bedside table that is very scruffy but made of solid wood, so I’d like to do that first. Assuming I am successful with getting the finish looking suitably distressed on that small item, then I’d like to do a larger project such as my kitchen table and chairs. They are very scuffed so in need of some TLC.
Have made over a lampstand and coffee table and i’m now hooked. Fabulous prize giveaway.
