With the holidays almost over, I’ve spent hours sitting on my Ipad virtually shopping for the latest home buys on my wish list for 2016. With the New Year just around the corner, I’m getting excited about all the latest products and trends that I saw at the press shows in the late Autumn, that are only just now appearing on the high street. Today, I thought I would share a short interview I did recently over at Designer Insights – which has a little run down of my day-to-day life, plus my pick of the top five ‘Must Haves’ for home buys for 2016. As I love shopping for my home so much, I couldn’t help myself so I’ve added another 8 items that I have hand picked. Let’s welcome in 2016 with some lust-worthy home products that will make us weak at the knees.
My Hand Picked Home Buys We All Need This Year
You can still see a ton of copper in the mix along with other metallics. I love this little paper storage bags (I want one for my office desk). I sort of ran out of throws in my house (whaaaaaaat?) so I’ve been looking for ones that arent fuddy-duddy – if you know what I mean. Lighting is on the top of my list as I need to replace the shades in my open plan living space. And this year, I’m trying to squeeze in as much marble as I can in to my home – hence that rather epic cushion.
Make sure you have a look at the Designer Insights blog – there some really interesting bloggers, small shop owners, architects and designers….I spent a good hour discovering some new names that have inspired me and my home for 2016. I loved reading about Emily Bessant – from The Good Times Store which is in Lewes (I’m going to arrange a little visit for sure) and the funky patchwork creations of Eleanor Young – love love love one of her bolsters for my front door.

Ooh, I love the metallic bags, how cool are they (and cheap!) Marble is definitely going to be big this year isn’t it – love the cushion. Great choices all round, isn’t it exciting when the new ranges hit the shelves.
