Right, I’ve done it again. I’ve fallen down an internet rabbit hole virtually shopping for my 14 home buys I want for my home and honestly, I regret nothing.

Every year I put together my wishlist of home buys that are making me weak at the knees — and 2026 is serving up some absolute crackers. We’re talking bold colour, joyful pattern, affordable finds that look anything but, and a few sustainable gems I’ve tracked down that deserve way more attention.

As an interior stylist with 25 years in the industry, I see a LOT of product. Here’s what’s actually caught my eye this year.

Right, I've done it again. I've fallen down an internet rabbit hole virtually shopping for my 14 home buys I want for my home and honestly, I regret nothing.

14 home Buys I want for my pad Right now!

1. A dopamine-hit cushion in the boldest colour you own Life is too short for beige cushions. Go bold, go graphic, go clashing. You can thank me later.

2. A rattan or wicker storage basket The sustainable swap that works in literally every room. Bathroom, bedroom, living room which is endlessly versatile and feels expensive even when it isn’t.

3. A statement table lamp from a high street steal Lighting transforms a room more than almost anything else. Right now the high street is absolutely nailing sculptural, interesting lamp bases at very reasonable prices.

4. Maximalist patterned bedding Plain white bedding had its moment. Florals, geometrics, bold prints — your bedroom should make you smile the second you walk in.

5. A secondhand or vintage mirror Charity shops and Facebook Marketplace are overflowing with gorgeous ornate mirrors that people inexplicably don’t want. Hunt one down, paint the frame if needed, and you’ve got something totally unique.

6. Bold coloured glassware One of the easiest and cheapest ways to add colour to your kitchen or dining table. Cobalt blue, amber, deep green — collect mismatched pieces and display them on open shelving.

7. A chunky knit or woven throw Not your nan’s beige throw. Think rust, mustard, teal, forest green — something with texture and personality that actually adds to your space.

8. A maximalist gallery wall print Original art doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Etsy is full of brilliant independent artists doing bold, colourful prints that will instantly liven up a plain wall.

9. A vintage or retro style clock Functional and decorative. A good clock is having a serious moment right now and I am very much here for it.

10. Sustainable beeswax candles They last longer, smell incredible, and are much better for your home than paraffin alternatives. A genuine upgrade worth every penny.

11. A bold coloured vase (the bigger the better) Stop buying little bud vases. One oversized statement vase in a great colour does more for a room than ten tiny ones. Trust me on this.

12. Patterned wallpaper for one wall One wall. That’s all it takes to completely transform a room. There are brilliant wallpapers available at every price point right now and the results are jaw-dropping.

13. A vintage or upcycled side table Skip the flat-pack and hunt down something with character. Paint it, wax it, leave it as-is — a secondhand side table adds soul to a space that a new one simply can’t replicate.

14. An indoor plant that actually suits your lifestyle Not another plant that’s going to quietly die in the corner. If you forget to water things, go for a snake plant or ZZ plant. If you’re an attentive plant parent, treat yourself to something dramatic like a fiddle leaf fig or a monstera deliciosa.

What do you think of these 14 home buys? Have any caught your eye?
