‘I got a text!’ – I joked in my best Love Island voice – when Karen, the editor of Good Homes magazine, messaged me with the good news. She sent me an excited message to let me know I was on the cover of her magazine. WHAAAAAT?!?
I was so confused! Then I zoomed in a little closer and oopse – three I was on the cover. In my floral kaftan in my garden.
A mad dash to my local Waitrose, and I was hunting the shelves looking for the magazine with me on it.I managed to get the last copy. It is such a odd feeling, scanning your face through the checkout til in the supermarket.
My garden has been an utter labour of love – and had many bumps in the road. The fact that my garden is a cover star is just ace. It’s made all the mud, rain and delays all worth it.
Having my garden featured in a Good Homes is especially lovely. The ladies on the editorial team there have been so supportive of my blog, my styling work.
I’m going to be sharing lots of before and after photos fo my garden over the next few months, as well as break downs of where I got everything from on the blog and on Instagram.
I’ve told my friends that I’m now ‘officially’ a cover star! You never know, I may get picked for the real Love Island next year…
