One of my favourite childhood memories is of enjoying a family holiday to Cornwall. My mum booked us a cute cottage in Cornwall for a week. And I still remember long country walks, a fishing trip, horse riding and of course creamy Cornish ice cream. In the evening we would sit in front of the fire and play scrabble. It was utter bliss.
I remember this holiday more fondly then any trip we took abroad. There was so much to see and do and the beaches were as beautiful as my seven year-old self had enjoyed in Europe. Just take a look at the photos below.
This summer, I’m planning a trip to Cornwall. My plan is to pack my laptop and a week’s worth of clothes, and use the break as a writer’s retreat where I would break up my days with coastal dog walks. Sounds perfect, right?
There’s lots of holiday cottages, homestays and apartments each one perfect for your trip. You could stay in the middle of nowhere or in the heart of a bustling fishing port depending on what you are looking for.
But where do you start to find one?

Inspiring interiors with Cornish Horizons

In this blog post, I’ve picked out my favorite South West holiday homes with the help of Cornish Horizons. Who are Cornish Horizons? They are a family-run holiday company that pride themselves on their wide selection of places across Cornwall. Their aim is to help you pick your ideal home-away-from-home.
They had lots of properties that caught my interior stylists’ eye.  But I have narrowed it down to the seven below which all have been beautiful decorated.
